We recognise that effective communication is often lacking in occupational health provision – with resulting delays in problem resolution.
We therefore require our staff to stay constantly engaged with all parties – sometimes at formal case conferences but frequently by short telephone updates – ensuring the integrated involvement of all stakeholders and the most rapid resolution of employment problems.
We believe in openness and honesty in all areas of our work, not least in defining our advice to employees themselves about their fitness for work.
We believe that the confidence of our staff comes from their competence and, therefore, put 12 days per year aside for formal training in clinical medicine, report writing, conflict resolution and OH management.
Hand-in-hand with training is a commitment to audit. We therefore appoint an auditor to collate feedback on professional competence, clinical governance, report writing and employee and management satisfaction.
